This blog describes the building of an off grid passive solar monolithic dome. After the building of the dome is finished, I will write about living off the grid, wind and solar power, energy efficiency, sustainable living and growing organic food. This picture shows the completed vanity. Since this picture was taken, we have put doors on the closet and a towel rack. We will be putting a tile backsplash on the wall and paint.

My husband and I started building our off grid monolithic dome in 2005. We had the shell built for us, but we are finishing the inside ourselves. This blog is the story of the construction of the dome and living off the grid.
